Meet The Founder
Five years ago, I began caring for two young boys. The older boy who was 4 had a really tough time saying goodbye to his Mum and would cling to her when she was leaving. He was going through such pain. It really felt hard for all involved.
The boys' mother sent me a podcast by Janet Lansbury, which changed everything for me. Janet's approach to;
validating emotions and allowing children to express themselves, instead of distract, revolutionized how I cared for children and even how I saw myself and all the relationships in my life.
I became passionate about this approach and completed the RIE Nurturing Nanny Course to learn more. I began working closely with children, guiding them to follow their intuition and natural flow. Slowing down and creating partnerships with children became more important than anything else. I could see and feel the benefits of this immediately with the children I cared for. Connected, Mindful and Respectful care have become a part of my life and I’m thankful for all the lessons along the way that have anchored me in this work.
I started Happy Hearts in 2020 because I know this type of care is invaluable and can revolutionise the next generation, therefore our planet! As an advocate for children and a deep listener for those who need it, I am here to guide children and their caregivers on their journey to their hearts and the children’s hearts they care for.
