What is the fee structure?
We charge a finder's fee to cover the cost of finding the right nanny for you and your family. This fee varies based on your requirements, and we will discuss it with you once we better understand your needs. A 40% deposit is required before we start the search, and the balance is payable once your nanny is through their four-week trial period.
During the trial period, there is a weekly management fee to cover any additional support required during this time to ensure a smooth onboarding. Once the trial period is completed, a reduced weekly administration fee is payable. This fee covers things like finding a replacement nanny due to holidays or sickness, as well as other benefits like discounted rates on booking casual babysitting.
All of our nannies are paid directly by their family, at an hourly rate agreed during your recruitment process. Given the experience of our Happy Hearts nanny community, their rates start from $35 per hour. We can help you negotiate and determine a suitable rate for your needs and the nanny we have found for you.
Your nanny will let you know their preferred payment method. We recommend that our nannies manage their payments through Nanny Pay, an organization committed to ensuring nannies and babysitters manage their finances so that their tax and super is treated correctly. This keeps it simple for parents - an agreed exchange directly with your nanny, and they take care of the rest!
